REIKI TRAINING COURSES

Reiki is a beautiful Japanese healing system, designed originally by its founder, Mikao Usui for spiritual development, self improvement and self healing (Usui called it: “The secret art of inviting happiness, the miraculous medicine of all diseases”).

Reiki is something that anybody can learn, regardless of experience and background. It is very simple to use and requires little study to gain great benefits. You will find that once you are connected to the Reiki energy it can work on you 24 hours a day, and may bring changes to your life on all levels.

Reiki seems to be very individual and works in different ways for everyone, but the general benefits most people will experience are a feeling of well-being and calmness, feeling more able to cope with life’s ups and downs, and bringing their life into better balance. For those people who are already therapists, it may enhance other therapies they offer.

You do not require any specific religious beliefs, but just be open-minded

Reiki is traditionally taught in 3 separate levels:

Reiki 1 which is considered a “beginners” course and is the start of your journey with the reiki energy, enabling you to work on any personal issues through self healing as well as simple treatments to friends and family.

Reiki 2 deepens your connection to the energy and you will learn 3 ‘symbols’ that enable you to focus the energy in a certain way. You can also practice healing at a distance. You will also start to use intuition and intent to guide your treatments.

This is the level that is considered “practitioner”. However you should note that you will not become a professional Reiki practitioner overnight, and once you have done your course, you will need to take time to practice the new techniques before you have the confidence and experience to offer Reiki treatments to the public.

Reiki Master/Teacher is the third level, and as well as learning some further ‘symbols’ you will also be introduced to some sacred sounds to focus the energy. Again there are more meditations and techniques to use to deepen your connection further as well as taking intuition to another level when carrying out treatments. You are of course also introduced to the methods by which you can pass on the reiki energy to others.

Both Reiki 1 and Reiki 2 are offered as a single day course, and you will receive all the course materials at least 2 weeks before the course to give you time to do some home study (approx 6-8 hours) in advance, at your own speed. This means that the day of the course itself is largely practical.

On the Reiki 1 course this means doing energy exercises, meditations, self healing and giving and receiving a Reiki treatment.

On the Reiki 2 course there will also be some energy meditations, as well as an opportunity to put into practice the new techniques that you have learnt for strengthening the energy and giving and receiving a treatment using the Reiki 2 symbols. You will also practice distant healing.

Reiki Master/Teacher is a two day course, and you will receive all the course materials at least 6 weeks before the course to give you time to do some home study (the equivalent of 18-24 hours) in advance at your own speed. Again, this means that the days of the course are largely practical and on two half days you will be going over the connection rituals that you have already had time to practice so that by the end of the course you feel confident in their use.

Please contact me for full course details. I plan to offer regular Reiki 1 courses throughout the year and Reiki 2 courses every 3 months or so depending on demand. There will never be more than 4 people on a course so that I can ensure individual attention.

I suggest a minimum of a year to 18 months should elapse between doing your Reiki 2 and Masters courses.

REIKI COURSE FEES

Reiki 1 Cost includes manual and two CDs NEW: If you and a friend would like to do the course together on your own, I will do this at a cost of £200 and we can agree any weekend date or two weekday afternoons.	£110

Reiki 2 Cost includes manual and CD It will be necessary for students to undertake case studies prior to obtaining their Certificate.	£130

Reiki Master/Teacher Cost includes manual, DVD and 2 CDs	£350

Full course fee payable on booking, with £30 covering the cost of the manual and CDs. If for any reason it is necessary for you to cancel your booking after receiving your manual and CDs, this amount will not be refundable.

These manuals cover everything that is studied on the course and more besides, so there is no need to take notes on the day of the course.

Courses take place on Saturdays throughout the year. Dates for early 2012 are:

Certificates

Certificates will be issued on completion of the course (for Reiki 2 only after completing case studies)

Ongoing support

After your course you will be able to keep in touch with me by email for advice or support as well as having the chance to join a Reiki email forum to exchange views and experiences with other like-minded people. You will also be able to join regular Reiki Shares at my home with other students and you can request a follow up meeting around a month after your course to discuss any issues that have arisen, if you wish. This is because I believe on-going support is critical to your success as a Reiki practitioner and my aim is to ensure you get the most from your Reiki that you can.
